Jen Haefele, RDN
Hi! My name is Jen. I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), reading enthusiast, and self-identified as a “lazy chef” meaning if it takes a lot of time and makes a lot of dishes I’m probably not about that. I like to sing really loud with the radio while driving, I laugh a LOT at bad puns (What do you call a T-Rex who runs a marathon? Dino-SORE), and I can name every single president of the United States in order. And yes, I know I’m a nerd. Need more proof? Just follow me on Instagram @RDNJen.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Media Production from the State University of New Paltz. I for sure thought I was going to make commercials for a living. However my time at New Paltz brought me to dietetics and led me back to school. I also have a Bachelor of Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Nutrition Management. I completed my Dietetic Internship through the University at Buffalo. And I’m continuously pursing more education opportunities. You might say that I really like school. I actually like to joke that I’m taking an educational tour of New York state.
My true passion is helping others heal in their relationship with food, their relationship with movement, and their relationship with their body. I practice through a HAES (Health At Every Size) model and seek to provide a safe space for all clients regardless of weight, race, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
